Touch – Contemporary Swedish Music For Two Pianos

Mats Persson & Kristine Scholz

This CD presents two pianists who have specialized in contemporary music, from the Nordic as well as from other countries. Mats Persson and Kristine Scholz play “Touch” by Lars Sandberg, “Stereos” by Jan W Morthenson, “Carillon” by Bengt Hambraeus, and Mats Persson’s own composition “Azulaizouras II”.

Kristine Scholz and Mats Persson began their carrier as double pianists already when they studied together at the University of Music in Cologne 1969 – 72. In 1973 they became full time musicians, both in the avant garde music group Harpans Kraft (Power of the harp), and as double pianists.
