Tobias Carron & Per Skareng

Play Italian Music

Two of Sweden’s most sought-after instrumentalists, Tobias Carron, flute, and Per Skareng, guitar, join forces here for a thoroughly Italian program of music by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Mauro Giuliani and Nicolo Paganini. Tobias Carron and Per Skareng have toured together for many years, and this is their first CD recording together.

Tobias Carron gives regular performances with the main Swedish orchestras and has collaborated with conductors like Myung-Whun Chung, Leif Segerstam and Esa-Pekka Salonen. His numerous recording credits include Sven-David Sandström’s Flute Concerto under the Caprice label.

Per Skareng has made a reputation for himself as one of the foremost guitarists in the Nordic countries, and he gives frequent solo and chamber music performances. He has played most of the great guitar concertos, together with conductors like Neeme Järvi and Jorma Panula. His CD début came in the Caprice Records artist series with “El Colibri” in 1990.
