The Stockholm Philharmonic Brass Ensemble
The Stockholm Philharmonic Brass Ensemble consisted of five musicians of whom four were members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The ensemble, founded in 1969 performed music which stretched from the 14th century to contemporary music.

This recording mirrors the development of the ensemble presenting music dating from Praetorius to composers of the 20th century. Here we find music by Praetorius, Gabrieli, Ewald, von Koch, Lutoslawski, Arnold, Poulenc, Dubois, Arlen, Turpin, Blake and an arrangement of a folk tune by Gunnar Hahn. The repertory stretches from early baroque music to folk music and jazz.
