Chamber Music

This CD is dedicated to the music of  Sven-Eric Bäck. It mainly concentrates on his solo and chamber music from the breakthrough years at the end of the 1940s: String Quartet No. 2, the Exercitier String Quintet, Sonata for Solo Flute and Expansive Preludes for Piano.

Also included are his Fourth String Quartet (1984) and a magnificent mono recordning of Favola, made in 1965 by the legendary recordning engineer Stig Carlsson.

The musicians include flute soloist Manuela Wiesler, pianist Arne Torger, the Crafoord Quartet and the Berwald Quartet.
