Stockholm Symphonic Wind Orchestra 2

Conducted by Per Lyng

Stockholm Symphonic Wind Orchestra, conductor Per Lyng, plays Jan W Mårtensnon Paraphonia, Ingolf Dahl Saxophone Concerto, Edward Gregson Tuba Concerto and Tristan Keuris Catena.

The symphonic wind music was poorly represented on CD in Sweden when Caprice Records and the Stockholm Symphonic Wind Orchestra released a series of 3 CDs in 1991, Cap 21384, 21414 and 21415. The series can be seen as a portrait of an orchestra in constant evolution. It mirrors the policy of the orchestra of the late 1980s; to present original music for wind orchestra in collaboration with internationally active guest conductors.
