Niklas Sivelöv composer and pianist, is presented on this CD. For this  he has chosen a program with music by Robert Schumann (1880–1856): Kreisleriana op. 16, Arabeske op. 18, Quasi vairazioni and Klaviersonate op. 22.

Born in Skellefteå in 1968, Niklas Sivelöv began his musical career as an organist, collecting numerous awards and prizes. Switching to the piano when he was 14, he took his soloist diploma – with a Medal of Honor – at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm 1991. Further studies then followed, under Lisa Pohjola in Helsinki.

Sivelöv has played under the direction of conductors like Leif Segerstam, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Okku Kamu, Paavo Berglund and Jukka-Pekka Saraste.
