Kreisleriana

Tobias Ringborg & Anders Kilström

Violinist Tobias Ringborg and pianist Anders Kilström join forces for a recital of neglected compositions and transcriptions by Fritz Kreisler, one of the most popular and successful violinist of our century.

This is a rare opportunity of ”discovering” pieces that are seldom, if ever, played nowadays – beyond the well-known territory of Schön Rosmarin or Caprice Viennois.

Tobias Ringborg has been commuting between the USA and Sweden since 1994. Already as very young he gained a succession of prestigious awards.

Anders Kilström, one of the most eminent Scandinavian pianists of his generation, made his début with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in 1986 with a rapturously received performance of Beethoven’s Fifth Piano Concerto. A dedicated chamber musician, he has come to be associated with many celebrated chamber music constellations, and as a strong supporter of contemporary music he has premièred works by many of today’s leading Scandinavian composers.
