This CD presentation features cellist John Ehde and pianist Carl-Axel Dominique performing works by composers with whom they have a very personal relation.

Charles Valentin Alkan’s Sonate de Concert for piano and cello. Claude Debussy’s Sonata for cello and piano, Frederick Delius’s Sonata for cello and piano and the fifth movement of Olivier Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la fin du temps.

John Ehde is well known both as a soloist and as a chamber musician and as a conductor. He teaches the cello at the College of Music in Malmö.

Carl-Axel Dominique is one of the foremost Messiaen interpreters of our time and has always had a reputation for launching unusual piano music by composers like Messiaen, Alkan and Satie.
