On the eve of the centenary of the birth of Hilding Rosenberg 1892, Caprice Records released a boxed set with 6 CDs containing the 14 string quartets, and a bonus CD with the unfinished quartet from 1942.
This edition is among the most interesting in Nordic chamber music, and one of the most important because of its expressiveness and technical mastery.

The performing ensembles belong to the elite among Nordic string quartets. Some of the most prominent authorities on Rosenberg chamber music have participated in recordings, Sven-Eric Bäck, András Mihály and Bo Wallner among others.On the CDs are presented recordings from 1992 as well as a couple of legendary older performances.
