”El Colibri”
Per Skaräng, Guitar
Per Skareng, born in Gävle, is the first solo guitarist to have been appointed for an examination at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he has studied for Per-Olof Hedlund and Rolf de la Fleur. 1982 and 1985 Skareng received the grand scholarship of the Music Academy and a scholarship from the British Council for studies in England. He then studied for John Mills and Gordon Crosskey and went to master classes held by Julian Bream and Alirio Diaz.
The CD is analogically recorded by Swedish producer Jan-Erik Persson. He has, in accordance with his sound philosophy, combined the acoustical advantages of the analog recording with the practicality of the CD. The result is an acoustic adventure that fully manifests the musicianship of Skareng. The instrument played by Skareng is a nylon stringed Ramirez.
