Anton Kontra, violin and Celia Linde, guitar plays music by Coste, De Falla, Gragnani, Granados, Nin, Paganini, Piazzolla and Scheidler.

The violinist Anton Kontra was born in Hungary. He has been a concertmaster in The Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra and in 1973, founded the Kontra Quartet. He makes international appearances as soloist and for many years, was a tour partner of Victor Borge. In 1990, Kontra became concertmaster in the Malmö Symphony Orchestra.

Celia Linde was born near the town Norrköping. She has studied with Andrés Segovia at his master classes in Geneva. Andrés Segovia’s words of praise on Celia: “Most talented, with complete technique, noble and expressive.” She delved deeper into South American guitar music at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Celia Linde is regularly on tours, and she performs with the foremost orchestras of the Nordic countries. She is also active as a composer.

Kontra and Linde make up a colorful duo that performs original music for violin and guitar as well as arrangements in a diverse repertoire. Many composers have written works for them, for instance, Per Nørgård.
