Amadé Quintet & Terés Löf, Piano
Nielsen & Mozart
Mozart and Nielsen, piano and winds – two great composers, seemingly incompatible, who nevertheless prove to have a lot in common. Mozart was Nielsen´s household god. Mozart the pianist not only wrote the most brilliant piano sonatas of his time, but he also combined the piano and wind instruments in an entirely unique way. His original wind music inspired Nielsen to compose an exquisite quintet for winds – the first of its kind in Scandinavia.
Terés Löf is active as a freelance pianist and is often seen as a soloist and a chamber musician. She was awarded the soloist diploma at the State Academy of Music in 2001 and at the same time received the Academy´s medal of distinction (her teachers were Esther Bodin-Karpe and later Staffan Scheja). Terés Löf was also one of the three finalists in the prestigious competition “The Soloist Prize” 2002. She is often heard on the radio and seen on TV.
