Ravaillac
Tommy Körberg sings Bo Nilsson.
Bo Nilsson, born and raised in the northern town of Malmberget, is one of Sweden’s most renowned composers. To the broad public in Sweden he is mainly known for the music he wrote for numerous TV-series, among others ”the Red Room”, based on a novel by August Strindberg. Nilsson’s list of works is long and varied. The big breakthrough came in Cologne in 1956, when he suddenly became one of the big names in the radical avant-garde music.
Ravaillac, the title song on this CD, is one of 14 songs. The lyricists are numerous, many of them well known, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Lennart Helsing and E A Karlfeldt among others.
