Jonas Knutsson Band

The band was formed at the time of Jonas Knutsson’s CD début “views” in 1992. It attracted well-deserved attention through its vigor and originality. Knutsson writes most of the material himself. Jonas Knutsson has played in many other constellations as well as being a respected studio musician. He plays in the Elise Einarsdotter Ensemble, Encore, Enteli and the Martin Löfgren Group etc.

It is no coincidence that this CD has been called “Lust” (pleasure). This is what it’s all about: lust for music, lust for playing, lust for life. The music weaves yoik, ballad and polska into a long-threaded fabric, sometimes with a brittle, melancholy beauty and sometimes with daring savagery, all played with effervescent infectious energy.
