Lulu Alke

Lulu Alke

It was a landslide victory for the 1989 Jazz in Sweden winner Lulu Alke.

Over the years the critics have written many positive reviews about Lulu’s singing, they all seem to be in agreement as to her charisma, musicality and feeling. An example of the “feeling” of international class- is her part in the title song “Angel Eyes”, but more gems are to be round on her “own” debut CD. Lulu Alke died in 1996.

Other artists on Lulu’s record include: Björn Alke piano, Palle Danielsson bass, Leif Fredriksson trumpet, Maffy Falay trumpet and flugelhorn. Jan Allan trumpet, Krister Andersson alto and tenor sax, Tommy Koverhult alto and tenor sax, Bernt Rosengren tenor sax, Hans-Peter Andersson tenor sax, Erik Nilsson baritone sax, as well as a string section from the Royal Opera Orchestra.
