I saw you

Jeanette Lindström

The CD I saw you presents an exciting repertoire. Eleven out of the twelve songs are written by Jeanette. Three of them were written in collaboration with American-born pianist and composer Steve Dobrogosz,and one in collaboration with Jeanette´s colleague Lina Nyberg.

Some of the lyrics are by the American poets Robert Creeley and Elizabeth Bishop, and others are by Jeanette herself.

This is bold, mature artistry. Every piece has a distinct character of its own – a mood, a story told in words and music. The songs are performed with the mellow voice, the verve, intensity and superb technical mastery, which have made Jeanette Lindström so many people’s favorite singer – a jazz musician out of the ordinary.

The members of Jeanette Lindström Quintet playing on this CD are: Örjan Hultén, saxophone, Torbjörn Gulz, piano, Christian Spering, bass and Anders Kjellberg, drums.
