Classics for Children

Johan Helmich Roman – here is your life.

In this acoustic adventure we travel straight into the 18-th century. We meet Roman, called the father of Swedish music, as a child, on his travels to England and Italy and on his many concerts. We visit the scenes of times gone by; we meet the great composers and the royalties of the epoch.
This record is suitable for everyone open to new and unexpected experiences, both children and grownups. It can be used both in schools and kindergartens as an introduction to classical music and Swedish history.

Henric Holmberg is the narrator, and other characters are played by Lennart Jähkel, Hans Klinga, Fillie Lyckov-Widding, Hans Lindgren and Per Svensson.

The music is played by Niels-Eric Sparf and the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble.
