1957 – the great year of recording

1957 was the main year for recordings. Between March and October, recordings were made in Småland, Bohuslän, Dalsland, Medelpad and Gästrikland. A more extensive journey was made to Swedish-speaking Finland in November. Among the many tradition bearers visited were Anders Carlsson and his sister Lena Larsson from Kungälvs Ytterby – their repertoire comprised over 200 songs.
