Nåra

Gunnel Mauritzson is from Gotland and presently resides in Stockholm. She is one of Sweden´s most prominent folk singers, with a background in both jazz and folk music. Gunnel has her own band, GMB, and is an instructor in Swedish folk singing.

Björn Ståbi was born in Stockholm and achieved nationwide renown for his fiddle playing when he lived in Dalecarlia. He now resides in Hälsingland. He is a living legend in the Swedish folk music movement.

Bengan Janson is indeed an all-round artist on the accordion, and has played with most of the foremost artists in Sweden, including Anne Sofie von Otter, Åsa Jinder, Kalle Moraeus, Allmäna Sången, Östen med Resten and many more.

Together they form the group Nåra: three of Sweden´s best artists in their respective fields present this amazing CD.
