Kerstin Ståhl: Johnson, Bodin & Ives

Kerstin Ståhl, Kerstin Åberg

In the 1970’s, soprano Kerstin Ståhl became well-known on the Swedish music scene as an unusually versatile interpreter of modern art music. She has since made innumerable appearances as a soloist, often performing works written especially for her, and her achievements in classical contemporary works have gained justified attention. On this record, she performs two works dedicated to her – Enbart by Lars-Gunnar Bodin and Soliloquium by Bengt Emil Johnson – and also ten of Charles Ives’ beautiful songs.
