Järven, The Wolverine

Frifot

One of Sweden’s most popular folk music groups, Frifot with Lena Willemark, Ale Möller and Per Gudmundson, takes us on a voyage of discovery.

Their first CD was a success; this is the follow up, Järven (the wolverine, title of one of the songs). We are invited on a trip through swirling polskas (a Swedish folk dance) and medieval ballads. These three colourful profiles on the contemporary Swedish music scene are deeply rooted in the folk music tradition. Together they create music with a strong sense of presence.
